FILM PREMIERE
WANDSWORTH FILM FESTIVAL
Epsom,
Surrey, UK - October, 10, 2007 - EgoProject Films
have today learned that their 35mm short film ‘SICK’
will be included in a presentation of the ‘Best
Shorts’ funded by the London Boroughs of Wandsworth
and Westminster over the past two years. The event is
to take place at the Wandsworth and Westminster Film
Festival on Saturday 20th October 2007, and will
be held in Battersea Power Station, one of London’s
most iconic landmarks.
The London Borough of Wandsworth became one of the first
investors in the film when its script was pitched to the
selection committee for the 10th Annual Wandsworth
Film Awards, part of Film London’s London
Production Fund.
Michelle Jenkins (Film London) said:
"'SICK' is a subtle yet forceful story sensitively
portrayed. Film London is proud to have funded this project."
Jack Adam (Wandsworth Film Office) said:
"Wandsworth Council was delighted to be involved
with this successful project and continues to provide
support and assistance to imaginative new film makers.

such a well produced short film that engages the viewer
on a difficult subject."

Further to the screening, the film’s Producer, Christine
Hartland of Patchwork Productions, will be appearing on
a panel discussion to examine funding schemes open to
filmmakers. She joins Head of Production at Film London,
Maggie Ellis.

'SICK' is a 15 minute independant drama and a co-production
by EgoProject Films and Patchwork Productions. It was
produced by Christine Hartland and directed by Mike Rymer
from a script that he developed while at the Skillset
Screen Academy Wales. The film explores issues of mental
health, namely anxiety and depression. More information
