SHORT FILM PREMIERE
WANDSWORTH FILM FESTIVAL

Epsom, Surrey, UK - October, 10, 2007 - EgoProject Films have today learned that their 35mm short film ‘SICK’ will be included in a presentation of the ‘Best Shorts’ funded by the London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Westminster over the past two years. The event is to take place at the Wandsworth and Westminster Film Festival on Saturday 20th October 2007, and will be held in Battersea Power Station, one of London’s most iconic landmarks.

The London Borough of Wandsworth became one of the first investors in the film when its script was pitched to the selection committee for the 10th Annual Wandsworth Film Awards, part of Film London’s London Production Fund.

Michelle Jenkins (Film London) said:
"'SICK' is a subtle yet forceful story sensitively portrayed. Film London is proud to have funded this project."

Jack Adam (Wandsworth Film Office) said:
"Wandsworth Council was delighted to be involved with this successful project and continues to provide support and assistance to imaginative new film makers. Congratulations to Mike Rymer and his team for making such a well produced short film that engages the viewer on a difficult subject."

Mike Rymer (Writer/Director for ‘SICK’) said:
“It is fitting that we should screen at the festival of the very organization that supported us so generously during the project’s development. We are thrilled to be considered one of the scheme’s best films”.

Further to the screening, the film’s Producer, Christine Hartland of Patchwork Productions, will be appearing on a panel discussion to examine funding schemes open to filmmakers. She joins Head of Production at Film London, Maggie Ellis.
